What to Pack

Firstly, let’s not make any travel mistakes and recap on what we should be packing.

Make sure you bring all of the beach essentials. That means swimwear, towel, goggles, sandals or slippers, a sun hat, a beach bag and most importantly, spray sunscreen. If you’re going to be bathing in the sun, then it’s important that you at least protect your skin. Next, make sure to hydrate yourself! Treat it like you have for most of the summer and you’ll be fine.

You’ll also want to pack a cardigan or a windbreaker as well. Although there are plenty of places in the world where you can get beautiful sun, you have to remember that it could still be windy in places.

Now without further ado, here are our top picks for chasing the sun in Autumn.

Australia

The seasons are flipped in the southern hemisphere, so when it’s starting to get colder in the US, Australia is starting to get its first few rays of sun. That means it’s soon going to be the perfect place to go for some rays of sun, and if you’re lucky, you might even be able to book a holiday in Australia when it’s Christmas! There’s nothing quite as eye-opening as having a barbeque on the beach to celebrate Christmas, and it’s an experience we’d definitely recommend at least once!

The Philippines

If it’s beautiful beaches and tropical settings that you want, then look no further than The Philippines. There are thousands of islands to visit, lively beach bars, plenty of other tourists to mingle with and crystal-clear waters that you’ll absolutely love. Whether you want to spend your time chatting with locals and enjoying local delicacies while basking in the sun, or if you want to nap in your hammock while listening to the waves crashing against the beach, there’s something for everyone in this paradise.

Sri Lanka

A tropical country with rich culture and some beautiful sights. This is one destination that you cannot miss if you love the idea of beautiful green sights mixed with crystal waters, golden beaches and nightlife to match it. There’s plenty to see and do in Sri Lanka, but we’d recommend booking early because this is quite the popular destination around this time of year.

Jordan

If you’re not quite into beaches but love a bit of sun, then consider going to Jordan. There are plenty of deserts, ancient cities and a wonderful culture that most people don’t even know about. It can get incredibly hot in Jordan, so make sure you’re packing plenty of loose-fitted clothes and sunscreen to help you through.
