It was one of those days I wanted to do something crazy. So I went to a beauty shop and bought a new lip balm. Yes, that’s crazy for me ‘cause I’ve been using The Body Shop Hemp balm for 25 years and I’m only 23 (No, I’m not bad at math. Get lost.)
Frankly, I’d never thought I’d ever try anything new in lip balms ‘cause TBS Hemp balm kept me happy. Also, I’m a one lip balm woman 😛
Now you might ask what made me buy this lip balm? Well, have you looked at it? Get a better look. How could I not try this cute little ball like thing that stared at me from the shelf?
This is from the brand Dexe, a London based company and it’s pretty difficult to find it in India. I’m lucky that way 😀
It is a colourless lip balm and can also be used as a lip gloss as it looks slightly shiny on the lips. What I like about this lip balm is that it’s all natural and has some of the very nourishing ingredients like (bees wax, carnauba wax, Shea butter, jojoba seed oil, olive oil, blueberry fruit extract).
My lips feel soft the instant I apply it. It stays for around 2-3hrs, post that your lips will still feel very soft and moisturized. I also like applying the lip balms overnight so that you can wake up to soft plum like lips in the morning. I’m pretty much impressed with the packaging of this product. It’s very convenient to use and also very cute and tiny. Did I mention cute?
I got this particular lip balm in Pineapple flavour as that was the only one available. Other variants are- Mint, blueberry, strawberry, honey peach and lemon. Mine is a mix of Pineapple with a hint of Mint.
What I didn’t like about this product is that the flavour doesn’t stay for long. It starts fading after 15-20mins of application. And also the availability is an issue. Like, what if it becomes an important part of my life and then it goes out of stock or something? How does the universe expect me to move on just like that? How do people survive these kinds of things? I.don’t.know.man.
